Congress 2013

The Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences is the largest multidisciplinary academic gathering in Canada. This year’s theme, @ the edge, will underpin thousands of presentations, panels, keynotes and other events taking place over eight days.

Each year, the Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences organizes the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences at one or more of Canada’s universities. Read more about Congress here.

Congress 2013 is being hosted by the University of Victoria. Seventy associations hold annual meetings under the banner of Congress. Many of the 7,000 attendees expected this year in Victoria between June 1 and 8 will be sharing new research, innovative ideas and engaging in debates on topics of interest to your readers.

What to expect at Congress 2013:
